Welcome to the Central Iowa cohort of "Agronomy in the Field!"
Agronomy in the Field is a women's program started by ISU Extension & Outreach field agronomist Angie Rieck-Hinz in north central Iowa. Since it's inception in 2015, we've expanded this programming to other areas of the state to provide hands-on, interactive agronomy education for women in agriculture! This summer, we'll meet for several sessions at the Waste Management Authority Environmental Learning Center near Runnells Iowa to talk about crop growth and development, integrated pest management and scouting, and water quality and conservation practices, along with any other topics that are of interest to the group!
We are excited for another season of Agronomy in the Field and would love for you to be a part of it. Please sign up below to receive our email newsletter updates regarding this cohort's meeting dates and summaries, as well as other relevant programming for women in agriculture, and we look forward to seeing you this year!
Amanda Brown (Project Coordinator for the Polk County Soil and Water Conservation District) and Meaghan Anderson (ISUEO field agronomist)
